Edward O. Robinson was a partner in the successful Cincinnati timber company, Mowbray & Robinson, which had large land holdings in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and busy timber mills at Quicksand and West Irvine, Kentucky.

After retirement in 1922, Mr. Robinson set up a trust as an instrument to improve the general welfare and education in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky.

His legacy continues today through grants and scholarships overseen by a perpetual Board of Directors.

To promote education and general welfare of individuals in the mountain counties of Eastern Kentucky.
